Babies, Children and Teenagers. If our children are going to get the most from life, then they have to remain fit and well for as long as possible. It is vital that we begin this process from birth and to continue this as soon as we start feeding our children. We should encourage them to have a positive and sensible nutritional outlook. This also means that you as a parent can concentrate on having fun with your children, rather than worrying about them. Plus, they are less likely to be ill and take time off school – which means you won’t have to take as much time off work at short notice. As you may know, research has established that certain foods and nutrients, such as the essential oils in oily fish, can help to actually make your child brainier and better behaved. So you have nothing to lose but everything to gain by ensuring your child gets the best possible nutrition at home and in their school lunch box. But rather than criticise and make judgements, Melody’s aim is to help you to discover certain foods and habits that will really make a difference to your child’s mental and physical wellbeing. Melody has a young child herself (Saffron) and is convinced that her continued good health and adventurous and fun-loving personality is in part a result of applying her training as a Nutritional Therapist to what she eats and drinks.
